Water drop

Because we automatically assume that light should come from the top of the image, we can’t wrap our brains around this image.

Try to rotate the image 180  and see it upside down. Now it is clearly a waterdrop that has fallen onto a tile of a kitchen floor.

Another example of this type of illusion is the sand dunes/artificial leather.
